Alongside my concert activity and liturgical service, I develop an artistic project that aims to redefine both the image of the organist and the way the organ is perceived today. This vision does not come from rejecting the instrument’s liturgical and historical context, which I fully recognise and value, but from the awareness that, over time, the organ and its performer have taken on stereotypes and expectations that have limited their audience. For many people, the instrument is still linked almost exclusively to church settings, and as a result its expressive potential is never truly experienced.
The goal is not to move the organ away from its natural home, but to take it outside temporarily in order to reach new listeners and create new points of contact. At the same time, this project speaks to those who already love the instrument, offering them a renewed and contemporary image of the performer. Instead of the usual austere and traditional figure, I present myself as a young, modern and visually recognisable organist, able to communicate with clarity and immediacy. Aesthetic, presence, style and expression become part of a coherent identity shaped to connect with today’s visual culture.
To bring this vision to life, I have created a completely new performance environment: a modern, innovative and brightly lit studio designed for visual media. It is a neutral space, free from liturgical references, where the organ and the organist appear in a contemporary visual setting. Here, performance is not a live event adapted to video, but something conceived from the beginning for the camera, where sound, image, light and direction all have equal importance.
This studio is not meant to replace the church, but to complement it. It is a space created to reintroduce the organ to the world, so that more people may eventually return to meet it where it naturally belongs. Through this environment, I propose a double movement: reaching new audiences and refreshing the way the organ and its performer are perceived by both new listeners and long-time enthusiasts.
Social media simply become the natural place where this project unfolds. The continuous production of content for Instagram, YouTube and other platforms is an essential part of my artistic identity, allowing the organ to exist in a new dimension that is accessible, open and shareable. Through carefully crafted performances, recordings and reflective content, I work to re-establish a meaningful relationship between the instrument, the artist and the audience, uniting tradition and innovation and giving new space to artistic freedom, in the belief that the organ can once again speak with a living voice in contemporary culture.
